Mutli-Disciplinary Education, Career Direction in the Arts, In-Class Projects, and Broadway Actors… All in one unforgettable assembly program. |
|
Originally designed for Universal Studios Hollywood, this educational program stresses the collaborative nature of the arts and highlights the many careers available. The presentation begins with a teenager telling his horrified parents he wants to study theatre. But after 90 minutes Behind the Emerald Curtain, the parents learn that there are hundreds of ways to earn a living in the arts.
Two actors from Wicked lead this fast-paced and funny presentation with the help of an original documentary shot backstage at Wicked. Students are introduced to dozens of professionals in a wide variety of disciplines. The presentation concludes with a lively Q+A session. You don’t need to see Wicked to enjoy this program. Behind the Emerald Curtain also includes a study guide with writing assignments, discussion ideas and innovative class projects. This was designed in collaboration with educators to meet numerous State Educational Standards. Educators say, “It ticks all the boxes!” Behind the Emerald Curtain is available to schools in the New York Tri-State Area and the greater San Francisco area. It is also available in any city where Wicked is playing during the national tour. Behind the Emerald Curtain can be tailored to Elementary, Middle School, High School and College-level audiences. The cost of the presentation is $1,000 plus transportation for two actors.
